Is this You?

Is this you?

  • You are an operations manager, physician, team lead, practice manager, administrator, unit director, or supervisor in healthcare who wants to motivate, engage, and develop people, but you need ideas on how to do it or where to start.
  • Some people on your healthcare team sleepwalk and daydream their way through their work, doing the minimum and going through the motions…nothing more.
  • Constant change(EMR implementation, Meaningful use, mergers, turnover, etc.) has you on an endless quest to make things more efficient, more streamlined, and more integrated, but you aren’t sure how to get your team on board with it all.
  • You are a new manager in need of leadership training or are an established manager looking for a jumpstart.

If you answered “YES” to any of these questions, then you’ll want to attend the unique training program SCMS is sponsoring on Wednesday, May 20.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:

The Cure for the Common Leader masterclass is an evidence-based, interactive, leadership development masterclass that draws on research in employee engagement and psychology to identify specific behaviors leaders must deploy to get maximum effort and investment from healthcare teams.

Attendees at Cure for the Common Leader learn:

  • Exactly how to create the conditions for a healthcare team that lead to engaged employees who care and try.
  • The one action you can take immediately to impact employee engagement (and that takes less than 5% of your time each month to implement.).
  • How to motivate and propel employees to higher levels of performance in the workplace (Hint: Pay-for-performance isn’t it.)
  • How to remove the “that’s not my job” mindset and get teams into the right mentality for selflessly serving patients…and each other.
  • How to change the culture of your team to one that is positive and happier, leading your team to provide better care and service, which keeps patients coming back.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Joe Mull, M.Ed., is the former head of Learning & Development for one of the largest physician groups in the U.S. and author of the book Cure for the Common Leader: What Physicians & Managers Must Do to Engage & Inspire Healthcare Teams. On Wednesday, May 20, in partnership with the Stark County Medical Society and ACHE of Northern Ohio, Mr. Mull will present a one-day leadership masterclass of the same name from 8:30am to 4pm at the Aultman North Canton Medical Group Health Education Building in Canton, OH. This event has been approved for 5.5 Category 2 education credits for ACHE members.

We partnered with Mr. Mull on this program last year. Here’s what attendees said on post-event evaluations:

“Incredibly valuable. Joe’s approach to training is personal and effective. I took away more specific and actionable items related to motivation and engagement than in week long conferences.”

“The BEST seminar I have ever attended. Joe reinforced info I already knew, taught me so much more, and gave me tools to be a better leader. I feel energized. This is material I will use for a lifetime.”

“I have a Masters in Leadership. I’ve been a manager for over 20 years. When my boss told me to come to this I thought ‘Why?! I don’t need this!’ Joe, I can’t even tell you how outstanding this was. It’s better than anything I’ve ever attended.”
